#3. Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love): ep 1.2 "Let's Do it" closing - after Marina leaves Jenny and Tim's dinner party and Jenny insists she doesn't have a crush on Marina

#4.Sol Ja Camba: ep 1.9 "Luck, Next Time" opening - making the "Jesus Is In Me" art video

#5.The Weakness in Me 1.11 "Looking Back" closing - Tina returns from the Dinah Shore weekend and embraces Bette in her office at the CAC.

#6.Everbody's Somebody's Fool : ep 1.5 "Losing It" opening - cop arresting guy in diner

3Could have been betterJul 31, 2004

As much as I enjoy the L Word series and am looking forward to Season 2 in January 2005, I was hoping that the soundtrack would feature the best songs from the 14 episodes of the first season. I was disappointed that some of these great tracks, especially the ones from the L'ennui episode, failed to make the cut. One of these tracks should also have been Portishead's "Roads".

4Buckley?Jan 30, 2005
By AKB
Some great stuff here. I highly recommend using it as a jumping-off point to investigate more music, particularly that of Lucinda Williams (there are other songs by her on the L Word, which are found on her newest album), The Be Good Tanyas (a Vancouver trio that is absolutely phenomenal...go buy "Chinatown" today) and Rufus Wainwright. And to correct the review two down from this one, everyone knows that Leonard Cohen, Rufus Wainwright's fellow Montrealer, wrote and originally sang "Hallelujah," not Jeff Buckley. The idiocy is shocking. Don't sound all snide and priggishly dismissive about something unless you actually know what you're talking about.

4A commentMay 15, 2004

I read that people keep complaining about the "Francis and her friends" song, wondering why it's included. Actually, if you are a fan of the L word, you can easily see that this song is what the show's about. It's all the random acts of you know what portrayed at the beginning of every single episode. I really enjoy this soundtrack, with "In the sun" being my absolute favorite on the cd. I'd recommend this soundtrack to fans of the show. Can't wait for the L word to come out on DVD!
