By S. Long It's the gay version of SNL that you always wished there was. Like SNL, not every sketch is a winner but all in all it was very funny. One reason you might not laugh at every sketch is that the show is shared with our siblings (gay or lesbian). I watched it was a lesbian friend and she was laughing when I was thinking of going to the kitchen and I was laughing when she was scratching her head and saying, "boys are weird". The one constructive criticism I would give the producers is that the topics explored were the overworked ones (coming out, PFLAG moms, etc) and exploring more sophisicated issues would greatly improve the show.

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!May 20, 2008
By Marni L. Lange There are very few shows I can watch over and over and over no matter how many times I've seen them. This one is one of them! Every time I watch it, I end up in stitches! This is one of the most talented groups of people in comedy!
TOTALLY UNFUNNY AND BADLY WRITTENNov 12, 2011

The only laughs in this show are the canned laughter which is unbearable to have to endure continuously. I watched the first 2 episodes and found nothing at all to laugh at. Dreadfully corny and totally unfunny. If this was a British series there would have been laughs galore.I simply could not endure the rest of the episodes on the dvd and ceased watching it after the 2nd episode. It is one of those shows that you know after the first 5 minutes that you are in for a tedious time. Totally inane and childish sketches that it is a wonder the writers were able to have a second series. This is truly the very worst comedy show of all time. If you think that this show is funny then you have a very juvenile taste in comedy. There are some great gay comedians/ writers in America but the writers of this show are not amongst them. I cringed when I watched it.How could some one get away with such rubbish?
Born and Killed Before It's TimeJul 11, 2011
By RogueDom A skillfully written and directed sketch show from the Logo network. Most of the humor is derived from the gay and lesbian lifestyle as indicated by the title, but don't let that cause you to hesitate watching the show. The cast is spectacular, the writing is hilarious, and some famous names are attached behind the scenes, such as Rosie O'Donnell and Amanda Bearse (you may know her as Marcy D'arcy from married With Children). Fitzwilliam, my favorite recurring character played by Kate Mckinnon and accompanied by his faithful magical unicorn, Trixie, is a snotty little British boy who wants nothing more in life than his very own vagina, much to the dismay of his father, the Earl. You don't have to BE gay to enjoy this show. But if you're open-minded enough to give it a try, I guarantee a gay old time.
Hysterical!!Mar 23, 2011
By Bill We love "The Big Gay Sketch Show." It is exactly like "Saturday Night Live", only with gay-oriented themes. Very Hysterical!!
