LOGO Explains the Lack of Season 1Nov 09, 2011
By Cesar A. Fernandez
Just like everyone else, I was ecstatic to see these shows finally get a DVD release. But just like everyone else, I had some questions I wanted answered before purchasing. Rather than freaking out and spamming the comments with "WHERE'S SEASON 1?!?!?!?", I decided to go straight to the source and ask the team over at RuPaul's Drag Race directly, via Facebook. These were my questions, and these were their answers:
Me: "Is Season 1 coming to DVD as well? And are the "Untucked!" episodes included with the Season 2 & 3 DVD's?"
LOGO: "Hi doll, lucite heels are clear, but some of our music for season one couldn't be cleared. Untucked isn't on the DVDs but lots of extras."
So understand ladies and ladyboys, they did try to put Season 1 on DVD, but licensing the music (probably Destiny's Child) was probably a bit too expensive. But don't be sad, Amazon sells all of Season 1 digitally, so at least you can own it in some form.

Where's Untucked??Oct 18, 2011
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE!!! I will be the first one to buy this when it is released!!! Season 3 is definetly the best season of the show!!! Can't wait til we find out if theres a release date!!! and cant wait for season 4!!!
UPDATE AS OF JANUARY 3, 2012
I change my mind...season 2 is now my favorite after watching them for a second time! season 3 was still great but it just doesn't compare to the talent of Jujubee, Rave, Tyra & Pandora. 2 reasons were that some of the challenges were kinda boring & the MAJOR FAIL of bringing back Carmen and her getting illiminated that same episode...proving she shouldnt have been given a second chance
The reason i rated this a 3 stars is...
Because its missing the untucked episodes!!! Untucked is a huge part of the show. Several times they reffered to things that were shown in the untucked episodes...leaving first timers baffled. And yes i know that lOGO promised tons of extras instead...but after vewing the extras...i think there was only 6 or 7...i realized they were very short, unnecessary bonus features. The "meet the cast" extra was on disc 2. I have seen the show before so i wasnt going to watch it..but for first time watchers...it would have done better on disc 1...right? Another is interviews from the NYC Finale party...when i saw this i thought i would be seeing interviews from all 13 or at least most of the queens...nope...the only interviews are with Raja, Carmen & Yara. It was even more disapointing when the interviews only lasted about a minute each.
Some more extras include...the performances from the "Rupaul a-palooza" and the cheers from the "Jocks In Frocks" episode. ...i expected to see extended perfomances that we never got to see...but again i was wrong. The clips were the exact thing that you see in the episodes...making them unnecessary.
hopefully we see a release of season 1 and a release of both untucked seasons soon!!

it was reaching and not cool of her but I wanted to give him the ...Sep 23, 2015
During the 3rd season I was rooting for Shangela but that very fascinating thing Manila had got me frustrated when she started to call out Shangela, it seemed immature and not strong.
But when the ethnic background topic came up after the news special, I totally disagreed with Shangela, it was reaching and not cool of her but I wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt.
But even though I was doing this I was also routing for Manila. I loved her style the most in that season. She is one of those Queens who never let you down on the runway. I looked forward to her smart and creative spin on the challenge each episode.
For me I felt she was the one who really first introduced the very artistic and fascinating creativity we saw & see more and more after this season.
And now I just love Manila.
This show really brings out all sides of the Queens personalities and no one is truly innocent of no shade. Also it shows a panicking side; like Alaska, watching her videos now you would never dream she had a vulnerable and insecure side she had in season 5.
Regarding Shangela I believe she was in a situation no other has been in so far. She left and went through a year of fighting to get back on with more experience. She did not want to let anyone down, especially Rupaul for bringing her back and went into survival mode. I also feel Shangela started the comedic side of the Drag Queens like Adore Delano, Adore is a lot more versatile and talented.
but they both have that smart charm when responding to a critique. I really do love them both but I do feel Manila is a lot more talented in this field.

So excited!Nov 02, 2011
Really pumped to buy this when it's released. I love all the girls and Ru always makes me feel like part of the show. Also excited for Season 4 as well. Can't wait to watch this over and over and throw my own drag race parties.
ALL T ALL SHADE HUNTYJun 26, 2015

2nd best season overall! (season 5 being #1). This was the season of "The Heathers" RAJA, MANILA LUZON, DELTA WORK & CARMEN CARRERA. Those 4 queens were a force to be reckon with. Raja is the high fashion model, Manila is the camp BUT extremely fishy and creative queen, Delta just an overall queen and Carmen....I'll just say she is the queen of B-O-D-Y. Those girls ran the school but there were other fierce queens too. Yara Sofia and Alexis Mateo are the Latina queens with big personalities and MUGS to die for! Mimi Imfurst is the odd ball and she does something in this season that will gag you! Mariah is the queen of the Ball, so she is very put together. Shangela makes a comeback to the this season after sashaying away first last season. And then you have your remaining queens which were far too quiet or busted to make any real impression. OVERALL, a good season with TEARS, RAGE, CONFUSION, LOVE, MADNESS, DESPERATION and one of the most difficult challenges ever!!! This season had overall difficult challenges and it goes to show how talented these queens are.
