 Awesome collection of remixes plus a new track!!May 11, 2010

Drag Race is the remix album to Champion, and it packs a punch! I'm not the biggest fan of remix albums but RuPaul always delivers quality music whether its original or remixed.
This album is no exception - there's not a weak mix here - in fact the beefed up versions of "Never Go Home Again" add more dimension to the original and are more superior in my opinion.
This collection comes with a new/previously unreleased track "Hit The Floor" - a bumping club anthem that any RuPaul fan is going to love.
My only disappointment was that this album has no remixes of Devil Made Me Do It, as that was one of my favorite tracks on Champion.
If you were a fan of Champion, I think you'll enjoy this album - all the remixes expand upon the originals, solidifying another great album in RuPaul's discography.

This remix album is just as I hoped it would be. It mainly consists of Hi-NRG remixes of the album tracks and hits from RuPaul's fifth album "Champion." I am glad the remixers wisely knows what the majority of Ru's fans would enjoy! The previously unreleased track "Hit The Floor" is fabulous! It is underground Hi-NRG dance candy! I enjoy it! Overall, this remix album, "Drag Race" is very much to my liking.

My daughter watches his/her show all the time and sings his/her songs. so I got the cd for her birthday. It was a great choice!!

I bought this CD hoping to hear a few songs from the "Champion" CD possibly enhanced and improved -- especially "Jealous of My Boogie." Sigh. Not to be. I do not like club mixes, which all sound very, very much alike -- though I was hoping this particular release would rise above the rest, knowing RuPaul.
There is not one standout tune on this CD. However, if you enjoy 60 minutes (more or less) of thump, thump, thump, thud, thud, thud, pound, pound, pound, bump, bump, bump, bam, bam, bam, wham, wham, wham with very little musicality, and you want to hear the same lyrics over and over, then this is the CD for you. Be certain that your sound system can handle the brutal punishment it's going to have to endure as it is thudding and whomping and thumping through this CD.
To be fair, see my 5-star review of RuPaul's "Champion" CD here on Amazon. Without a doubt -- There are times when you can't improve upon a classic original. I'm going 'back, back, back to my roots' to play the "Champion" CD.
