Description:

Christopher Street is in the heart of the West Village or as many people know it as Greenwich Village. In the village you can have quite an experience - you can witness all types of men, women, a few children, young, old, big, or small, and not to mention gay, yes gay! The Village is like the Gay Capital of the world, in fact in this particular neighborhood you can shop, eat, and explore nothing but gayness. That's why Christopher Street chooses to hang out there, no not the street name the person... Christopher Dewayne Street, however his friends call him Chris for short.
Christopher Street is originally from Memphis Tennessee, but now he resides in the Big Apple where he is learning new and exciting things everyday. With Chris, you can expect one or a combination of the following: he is fashion forward or fashionably dysfunctional, a boy today or a full grown woman tomorrow; you will either love him, hate him, or both. Within his friend circle you meet the best friend who later followed him to New York Jharemy, the cry baby Ashton, and the diva of all times, Miss Shawn.
Through the lives of Chris and his diverse group of friends, we see the challenges that four young men face while being gay minorities. Each character has their own individual struggle that affects their lives within their friend circle and the world. These young men deal with troubles that range from relationship issues, sexual identity, self-love, abuse, HIV/AIDS, and acceptance not only from the world, but from themselves. Chris, Jharemy, Ashton, and Shawn are bridging the gap of lacked knowledge by enlightening the world with the truth of being a young gay adult.
Inspired by shows such as "Beverly Hills 90210", "Melrose Place", and "Dawson's Creek", this comedy-drama aims to fit in the growing genre of teen shows, yet provide outstanding knowledge that will influence young people positively. Through Off the Clock Productions Inc. we are bringing Christopher Street to the world, and will be bringing insightful information to millions of people at once. This comedic drama is appealing to the 16-35 year old demographic, however it can satisfy anyone who wants an entertainment experience. With Christopher Street everyone will see why the streets are talking.

This film was awful. The film only has two 30minute episodes in total. There are only a few funny parts but not worth buying

1What Happened to EPISODE ONE??Jun 23, 2010

If only I had read the above reviews I would've saved some real money!! If you want to see an all black cast with great acting, writing, directing, editing, lighting and casting, then you're looking for "The D.L.Chronicles"! Anything you see online of It may be good, but it's highly edited, in poor visual quality and without the many out-takes and insightful commentary that only comes from buying the actual DVD. Please DO NOT buy it 'used' because if you bought thIs dIs-appoIntIng DVD 'Christopher Street The Series'for it's actual price, you should support the creators of "The D.L.Chronicles". By buying it new,you encourage them, as well as help finance them to make new episodes. Once you see the DVD you'll be glad you supported them!

3Missing outJan 03, 2011
By DeMarquis Holman
The characters were funny and i liked the vibe of the series. BUT there were only two episodes and not even an episode 1. I've never seen a series with two episodes, especially one that doesnt even start you off with the first episode. I felt as though i missed out on alot. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone else...based on the quality of the product...it could have been so much better.

2Eau d' oucheAug 03, 2010
By Jim W
I was disappointed . Once again the Gay Black Man was reduced to a modern day minstrel show, practically tap dancing and eating watermelon .
I cringed every time the characters went into their I'm so fabulous act , trying to out diva each other. In truth that would be ok had there been some redemption . If every single character wasn't exactly alike . Or maybe the life behind closed doors not being all that glitters or if the comedy was funny . But alas nothing side spliting . The product description says something like " Christopher street and his diverse group of friends .... diverse group ??? say what ?? I couldn't tell one character from another . I still don't know which one was Christopher Street. I'm always happy to see gay men portrayed in media , so I'm glad I bought the DVD . But for it entertainment value , acting and overall production ... thumbs down
